Import data format and method provided

In Munim GST filing software, we offer a variety of methods and file formats to facilitate data uploads.

A total of 6 types of data formats and methods are provided in the Munim GST

  1. Government Excel
  2. Government CSV
  3. JSON File
  4. Copy/Paste/Write
  5. Munim Connector
  6. Munim Excel Templates

01) Government Excel data import process 

This sheet is used for GSTR-1 or IFF filing type data, as per the company type 

For Purchase Data, a Government Excel file is used for data import.

GSTR-1 data in Government Excel Format

  • On the import data page, opt for the Government Excel/CSV option and click on it.
  • You can download the sample file by clicking the Download from Here option at the last.
  • Click on the “choose Excel file” button, then select your Excel file by clicking on it and choosing “Open“.
  • Once you’ve done this, the import process will begin.
  • After importing successfully, you can see your data in the Data prepare screen 

IFF data in Government Excel Format

  • On the import data page, opt for the Government Excel/CSV option and click on it.
  • You can download the sample file by clicking the Download from Here option at the last.
  • Click on the “Choose Excel file” button, then select your prepared Excel file by clicking on it and choosing “Open“.
  • Once you’ve done this, the import process will begin.

  • After importing successfully, you can see your data in the Data prepare screen 

Purchase data in Government Excel Format

  • On the Purchase data page, click on the Import your data button from the top right side and opt for the Government Excel
  • You can download the sample file by clicking the Download from Here option at the last.
  • Click on the “Choose Excel file” button and select your prepared Excel file by clicking on it and choosing “Open“.
  • Once you’ve done this, the import process will begin.
  • After importing successfully, you can see your data in the Purchase Data screen

02) Government CSV Format

  • On the import data page, choose the Government Excel/CSV option. Notice that the “Choose CSV file” button is initially disabled.
  • To proceed, first select the file name you want to import from the dropdown menu. Once you’ve made your selection, the “Choose CSV file” button will become active.
  • Click on it, then select the file that you chose in the dropdown menu to import. After this, your import process will begin.
  • After importing successfully, you can see your data in the Data prepare screen 

 03) JSON File 

  • On the import data page, choose the JSON File option and click on it. You’ll see a “Choose file from your computer” button.
  • Click on this button, then select your JSON file by clicking on it and choosing “Open“.
  • Once you’ve done this, the import process will begin.
  • After importing successfully, you can see your data in the Data Prepare screen 

04) Copy/Paste/Write

  • On the import data page, choose the Copy/Paste/Write option and click on it.
  • You’ll see column names as per the return data type. Here is displayed columns for the GSTR-1 return type.
  • The page below is displayed where you can paste or write your data as per the sheet and save after completing.
  • If the file type is IFF, then below types of column page are displayed 
  • In both return types, you can paste or write your data, and after saving all your data, it will display in the data prepare page.

 05) Munim Connector 

  • The Munim connector is functional solely for customers who use and utilise the Munim accounting software.
  • On the import data page, choose the Munim Connector option and click on it.
  • Now, to get the token number, you have to log in to your Munim accounting software, find a token number in the right corner by clicking on User profile section, where you can find ID, and you can copy that.
  • Once you’ve pasted it into the Munim connector pop-up page and clicked on “Connect“, your connection request will be sent to the Munim accounting software.
  • Now, in the Munim accounting software, you will get a notification of a connection request in the top-right notification option.
  • Open it, so you can see the connection request with the accept and reject the request buttons. Here, click on Accept to continue.
  • In the Munim connector, click “Get Status” to check your connection status. Once connected, you’ll be directed to a data fetch page
  • Here, you can click on the “start data fetching” button to initiate data retrieval.
  • After the process is complete, all your data will be displayed on the data prepare page.
  • Once connected, you can fetch data an unlimited number of times for all months.

06) Munim Excel Template 

  • On the import data page, select the Munim Excel Template option.
  • You’ll encounter three buttons for uploading sample files. Each button allows you to upload a different sample file.
  • You can download the sample file from the options provided below the buttons.
  • Here, we have provided three different sample files for different types of data upload options.
    • B2B/CDNR Lite: Here, you can prepare basic data of B2B, B2C and B2CL data, as well as data of Credit/Debit Notes only. Without HSN, Amendment or Export data.
    • Munim Sales Invoice: Here, you can prepare a file with Invoices with all data like B2B, B2C, B2CL, HSN, Amendment and Export.
    • Munim Sales Return: Here, you can prepare a file with Credit/Debit Note with all data like CDNR and CDNUR.
  • As per the sample file formats, you can prepare your data into three different files and upload them one by one to get your data on the data prepare page.
