Overview

The Stock Adjustment module helps you reconcile your physical stock with the stock recorded in Munim by recording quantity differences, wastage, or consumption.

Benefits
  • Match physical stock with system stock.
  • Record positive or negative stock variations.
  • Track stock adjustments as Adjusted, Wastage, or Consumed.

Steps to Create Stock Adjustment
Step 1: Open Stock Adjustment
  • Click + Adjust Stock or press Alt + N.
  • Go to Inventory → Stock Adjustment from the left sidebar.

Stock adjustment methods:

  1. Adjust Quantity: This module supports both positive and negative quantity adjustments to account for discrepancies between physical and system records. If the physical stock exceeds the computer stock, the variation is recorded as a positive value. Conversely, if the physical stock is less than the computer stock, the variation is recorded as a negative value.
  2. Wastage Quantity: For Wastage Quantity, negative values are accepted. If the physical stock is less than the computer stock, the variation quantity should be entered here as wastage.
  3. Consume Quantity: The Consume Quantity accepts negative values; if the physical stock is less than the computer stock, the variation quantity should be entered here as the consumption amount.

Stock Adjustment rules:

  • Computer Stock refers to the inventory levels currently recorded within the Munim system,
  • while Physical Stock represents the actual quantity verified on-site.
  • Variation is defined as the difference between the Computer Stock and the Physical Stock.
  • To reconcile these records, you may input this variation quantity into the Adjust Qty, Wastage Qty, or Consume Qty fields to finalise the stock adjustment process.
