As per the latest GST provisions, Gutka and Pan Masala are taxable at a flat 40% GST on the Retail Sale Price (RSP/MRP).
In this method, the MRP is treated as GST-inclusive, and tax is calculated by back-calculating the taxable value from the MRP.
Munim supports this requirement by providing an RSP applicability option at the item level in the Sales Invoice.
Where This Option Is Available
This option is available while creating a Sales Invoice.
- The item grid includes an Apply RSP column if New MRP field is enabled.
- New MRP field can be enabled from the Show/Hide column settings.
- GST calculation is auto-adjusted based on RSP selection. Select Yes to apply.

How RSP-Based Calculation Works in Munim
- Select the required item in the invoice
- Enable Apply RSP for the item
- Enter the New MRP (RSP) value
- System treats MRP as GST-inclusive
- Taxable value is calculated automatically
- Invoice totals are updated without manual calculation
Important Notes
- RSP option needs to be enabled only for Gutka and Pan Masala items
- Do not enter the basic rate when RSP is applied
- MRP entered should be the printed retail sale price
- GST rate selection is handled automatically by the system
- This calculation is compliant with current GST rules
RSP Reflection on Sales Invoice
- RSP will reflect tax related summary in the HSN summary details on the sales invoice. Refer image below for how to reflect output on the sales invoice.
